Greg
Schools
Grew up in the
farming community. After receiving an engineering degree from Maine Maritime Academy
and a brief period at sea, he returned to the area in 1985. He presently farms an
800 acre family potato farm. As a Littleton resident, he represents the northern
communities in the southern Aroostook area. Greg is active in the community and the
potato industry and is a county committee member of the Farm Service Agency and president
of Littleton Potato Growers, Inc., a potato marketing group. He also serves as a
board member of School Administrative District #29. In 1994 he was selected as
McCain's #1 grower for producing quality potatoes for the world's largest french fry
processor. His industry knowledge and active participation in agricultural affairs
is a valuable resource for SADC.

Charles
Upton
Serves
in his professional capacity as the Director of Community and Economic Development for the
town of Houlton, the area's primary service community. As a state Certified Economic
Developer, Charles is well informed on economic development issues and shares that
knowledge with the group. He is past president of the Economic Development Council
of Maine and the Maine Community Development Association, the Town of Houlton's
representative to the Houlton Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Executive Secretary for
the Southern Aroostook Growth Council. The Finance Authority of Maine selected him
as Developer of the Year in 1992.

Terry
Wade
Terry
Wade is plant manager for Smith & Wesson's Houlton manufacturing
facility. Smith & Wesson is a world supplier of small arms,
handcuffs and protective accessories for government and law enforcement
entities. His long association with Smith & Wesson brings to the
group valued knowledge of all aspects in precision metals
manufacturing. Terry is the team captain of SADC's Precision Metals
marketing team. In this capacity, he leads the group in prospecting
efforts for a light manufacturing metals product business for this
area. Terry is Smith & Wesson's representative to the Maine
Metal Products Association.

Jerry York
Is the corporation's president. He is co-owner and
general manager of York's of Houlton, a multi-line, family-owned automobile dealership,
former director of the Maine Automobile Dealers Assoc., former trustee of the Houlton
Regional Hospital, former director of the Community Living Association, and past and
current president of the Houlton Community Golf Club.
